Social Media Influencer Jailed 16 Months for Smuggling £150,000 of Cannabis Into Scotland

British influencer, Ellie Crampsie, has been sentenced to 16 months in jail for smuggling £150,000 worth of cannabis into Scotland. The 23-year-old from Broomhouse, Glasgow, was found with 17 vacuum-packed cannabis packages at Edinburgh Airport, worth between £115,000 and £151,000 (approximately €172,000), along with around 5,500 followers on Instagram and 6,000 on TikTok. Her boyfriend allegedly threatened and coerced her into transporting the drugs. Despite her lesser culpability, sheriff Graeme Watson maintained that her conduct was serious enough to warrant imprisonment.
