Broadway in the Hood will stage "Sister Act: The Musical" at the Pearl Theater at the Palms on April 12. The production is based on the 1992 film, following the story of a disco diva named Deloris Van Cartier who transforms a struggling choir into a superstar. The show is directed by an alumnus from the organization, with choreography by Justin Bryant and stage management by Lauren Dumas. The performance supports the Legacy Theatre of Excellence, a performing arts and education complex in Las Vegas.
