The practice involves walking without distraction and without music or a podcast. While it is well-established that a daily walk can aid digestion, boost mood, and add years to your life, experts say it can enhance the mind-body benefits of mind-bias. Dr. Mitchell Weinberg, chair of cardiology at Northwell’s Staten Island University Hospital, noted that walking can offer clear cardiovascular benefits, improve circulation, lower blood pressure and prevent heart disease and stroke. He also suggested that music can be a motivator for people to walk longer and harder, and that it can also be used as a relaxation tool.
