FIFA has been overwhelmed by requests from 46 of the 48 nations competing in the 2026 World Cup for relocation of their group-stage matches from the United States to Mexico, citing a range of concerns including active conflicts, diplomatic tensions, trade wars, and one submission from Uruguay. FIFA rejected all relocation requests, emphasizing that the United US remains capable of hosting a secure international tournament.
