Nelson Peña, the president of the Nestlé USA Global Culinary Kitchen, will deliver the keynote address at the university's commencement on May 23. Peña is influenced by the work of an FSU grad, Ruth Graves Wakefield, who discovered the idea of using chocolate morsels from a bar of Nestlé. The company began making chocolate in the 1870s and has since acquired the rights to the name of the dessert.
