A group of plaintiffs who accused the protein bar brand David of undercounting the fat and calories in its products have dismissed their lawsuit. The lawsuit, filed on Jan. 23, claimed that David misled and deceived consumers by labeling its protein bars with lower fat and calorie counts than they actually contain. The company denied the claims, stating that confusion stemmed from the lab tests conducted for calories and fat. The plaintiffs' testing allegedly found the bars had between 263-275 calories, and the fat content, which is advertised as no more than 2.5 grams, was upwards of 13 grams depending on the flavor. David responded by saying "no one is getting Regina Georged."
