New Orleans police investigating deadly shooting in Little Woods area

New Orleans experienced a significant downpour of rain throughout the day, largely due to a strong cold snap that has been mild, but no real rainfall was reported. The worst of the rain was seen in parts of LAFOURCHE and TERREBONNE PARISH, where it was particularly severe. The most severe rainfall was seen over the city's Chauvin, which was running 10 to 15in of RAIN BELOW its average for the year. The heaviest rainfall has been seen over parts of Lower Terrebonne and LAFourchee parishes, causing some local flooding issues. The weather is expected to continue to deteriorate throughout the next few days, with temperatures reaching 50 to 60% in the coming days. Despite some mild weather conditions, New Orleans has been dealing with mild weather.
