The New Mexico High School Coaches Association (NHS) has named its top ten players for the 2025-26 season. Four of the five boys on the Class 5A All-State basketball first team are from the metro area. Other notable players include Volcano Vista's David Lunn, Cleveland's Remy Albrecht, La Cueva's Hunter Butler, and Sandia's Isaiah Brown. Two Highland guards, Nico Sanchez and Juan Limas, were voted to the Class 4A first team. Additionally, three girls from Albuquerque are part of the girls Class 5a first team, along with two Artesia Bulldogs.
