The community spirit of Beggs, Beaggs, has been on display following a tornado that hit parts of the community a few days after the devastation of a tornado. The last tornado warning siren broke six years ago, leaving residents unaware of any warning. The mayor, John Baucom, stated that he had lobbied to install sirens but no one heard them. The community spirit was on display at the First United Methodist Church, where parishioners have been delivering meals to the crews restoring power to the area. The loss of two community members to the tornado also weighed heavy on the hearts of all, with many expressing their gratitude for the community.
