President Trump has threatened to prevent a deal with Iran unless 'the rest of their country, their leaders, is destroyed. This comes after he stated that Iran only wants the Strait of Hormuz closed to “save face” and only wants it open so they can make $500 million dollars per day. The threat was made just hours after announcing that the cease-fire had been extended. Iran's foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, accused the US of violating its ceasefire by blocking Iranian ports and taking its crew hostage. The Iranian regime has condemned US forces for seizing the M/V Touska vessel, describing it as "piracy". It remains unclear whether there will be a second round of US-Iran peace talks.
