Man pleads guilty to attacking USPS worker

A Buffalo man, 34-year-old Jacob Ortiz, has pleaded guilty to attacking a mail carrier, causing bodily injury and facing a maximum of 20 years in prison. The assault occurred on September 9, 2025. The mail carrier was delivering mail to a house in South Buffalo. The victim suffered cuts to their head and face and several bruises.
