Albuquerque defense contractor X-Bow Systems has secured a $12.2 million contract with California drone-maker AEVEX. This is part of a larger effort to disrupt the market for solid rocket motors, which X-B believes will grow significantly due to ongoing U.S and allied conflicts in several nations. The company's CEO, Jason Hundley, declared X-Burn as a disruptive new company in a market dominated by Northrop Grumman Corp. and L3Harris Technologies. This contract is one of $212 million worth of deals for X-Ban, which also includes acquisition of Evolution Space to expand XBow’s production capacity.
