The period between Memorial Day and Labor Day is considered the "100 Deadliest Days" for drivers, due to increased traffic and increased nighttime driving. This increase in teen deaths is attributed to factors such as nighttime driving, increased passengers in vehicles, and increased highway trips. The most recent summer data indicates that in 2025, there will be an increase in teenage deaths from 542 to 635. Several states, including Texas, California, and Florida, saw the highest number of teen deaths.
