The US has reportedly approached Iran with a plan to end hostilities between the two countries, with a 15-point plan delivered to Iran via Pakistan. The details of the proposal are unclear, but any agreement would require a prohibition on Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon or enriching radioactive material for civilian purposes. Stocks ended higher on Tuesday due to higher oil prices and concerns about the unrest in the Middle East.
