Jason Witten's son Cooper, a 4-star OLB recruit, picks Oklahoma

Cooper Witten, son of former NFL All-Pro Jason Witten and Texas' Liberty Christian School, has committed to Oklahoma in the 2027 cycle. Witten is ESPN's No. 2 outside linebacker and No. 30 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle. He chose the Sooners over Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. His commitment comes less than two months after Oklahoma coach Brent Veniven was appointed as the program's next tight ends coach. Despite Witten's father's move to Oklahoma, he is expected to remain with Liberty Christian for his senior season in 2026.
