Turf Paradise, a historic horse track in north Phoenix, may need to find a new home under new ownership under Gary Hartunian. The new owner, who bought the track last year, is also trying to sell his land near 19th Avenue and Bell Road in northPhoenix. Hartunan and Simms have yet to agree on a price for the land. A new facility would likely cost $40 million to $50 million, not including the land, and the only geographic restriction is that it remains in Maricopa County. The future of Turf Paradise is uncertain.
