Democrat Sherrod Brown significantly outraised Republican Jon Husted in the first quarter of 2026, according to campaign figures. Brown's campaign reported raising over $12.5 million between January and March, including $10.1 million through his principal campaign committee and $2.44 million through affiliated committees. Husted's campaign also reported raising more than $3.7 million across affiliated committees during the same period, with over $9 million cash on hand. The fundraising figures indicate a widening fundraising gap between the two candidates, following a similar trend at the end of 2025. The race is expected to be one of the most closely watched in the country, with outside groups already committing significant resources.
