Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's team demanded "beauty lighting" and a custom backdrop for her deposition testimony about late Jeffrey Epstein. The request was made to the House Oversight Committee, where Clinton’s team had meticulously worked over nearly every detail to ensure her appearance as flattering as possible. The team also requested that the camera be moved to the left several times to achieve a flattering angle of Clinton's face. The custom backdrop was developed within seven hours of the request. Many of the modifications for Clinton”s deposition benefited her husband during his testimony the following day. Both the Clintons and their representatives had previously rejected a subpoena from the House for a deposition, but eventually agreed to comply with the panel.
