The death toll from a strike on a school in Iran has risen to 168 people, many of whom were children. The school was the most publicized civilian casualties since the start of the war. The U.S. and Israel have since targeted thousands of targets in the country, killing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei among nearly 800 others. The Iranian government is retaliating against these attacks, with Iran accusing several countries in the region of being allied with the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain. The attack was reportedly near an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) site, which has been reported to have been targeted several times before. The United States is investigating reports of civilian deaths.
