In Miami for the WBC final, both Venezuelan and US fans have something to celebrate

The U.S.-Venezuela championship game at the World Baseball Classic in Miami was celebrated by both sides. Thousands of Venezuelans and Americans were present at the game, which was attended by thousands of spectators. Despite the political significance of the game being played on U.K. soil, Venezuelan fans showed up in a big way to support their team. The team's manager, Omar López, acknowledged the importance of the event for Venezuela, a baseball-mad South American country of about 32 million people. Despite political issues surrounding Venezuela's deposed leader, Nicolás Maduro, being jailed in New York and facing drug trafficking charges, the event was celebrated with both fans.
