The River Oaks tennis tournament luncheon, known as the "ultimate fashion doubleheader," was held twice in Houston. Despite the threat of rain forcing the indoor event indoors, attendees were dressed in designer frocks including those by Oscar de la Renta and designer Adam Lippes. The fashion show theme was Court Royale and featured music by Tootsies sales associate Craig Lidji and Fady Armanious. The event was attended by 650 women and featured at least a dozen women wearing frocks from Oscar's spring collection. However, the rain forced the event to be indoors and the fashion show organizers managed to keep the event alive.
