Members of Congress react to recent indictment against Southern Poverty Law Center

The Department of Justice has indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) for allegedly funneling millions of dollars to members of white supremacist and extremist groups. Democratic and Republican members of Congress have criticized the move, accusing the Trump administration of a "vindictive campaign" against organizations that safeguard democracy. Utah GOP Sen. Mike Lee also commented on the New York Times article, which left out that the SPLC was also funding the Ku Klux Klan.
