France opens probe into suspected attack on Bank of America in Paris

French authorities are investigating a suspected attack on Bank of America's Paris headquarters after police detained one suspect who was attempting to set off an explosive device outside the building. The suspect was taken into custody while a second person involved in the incident fled the scene. The National Terrorism Prosecution Office is also investigating allegations of attempted destruction by fire or other dangerous means in connection with a "terrorist plot". The probe also includes a charge of participation in a "terrorism" criminal association. The incident occurred at around 3:25am local time (02:25 GMT) on Saturday.
