2 Florida Keys restaurants ordered shut after rodent violations

Two Florida Keys restaurants were ordered shut down last week due to serious rodent activity, according to state records. The violations included multiple violations, including evidence of live rodents and conditions that could lead to contamination. No other establishments in Miami-Dade or Broward were closed last week. Both restaurants were allowed to reopen following an ordered cleanup and a re-inspection following the inspection. Other violations included a stop sale on time/temperature control for safety food due to temperature abuse and an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license.
