Brayan Bello, a Red Sox right-hander who lost his place in the team's rotation and was demoted to Triple-A for several weeks, has been performing well in his new role in the Red Sox bullpen. Bello recently pitched for the first time since July 22, giving the team four scoreless innings in a 9-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Since being called up on July 12, Bello has allowed one earned run over 13 2/3 innings in three appearances, lowering his ERA for the season from 6.34 to 5.30. Despite this, interim manager Chad Tracy suggested that Bello may be given another chance to start over the next three weeks.
