Democratic California Rep. Ro Khanna has admitted that the Democrats will impeach President Donald Trump if they take control of the House of Representatives. Khanna accused President Trump of threatening war crimes by issuing an ultimatum to Iran over its attack on ships in the Strait of Hormuz or target its power plants. This follows multiple attempts by congressional Democrats to introduce impeachment resolutions against Trump since his second term on January 20, 2025. The Democratic-controlled House of Representative impeached Trump twice during his first term in office, once over a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the other time over a riot at the Capitol building.
