The European Commission has found that US tech giant, Meta, is breaching European Union law by failing to prevent children under 13 from using its social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook. The commission's preliminary findings suggest that these platforms are doing little to prevent minors from accessing these services. If confirmed, this could result in a fine of up to 6% of the company's global revenue.
