The 2026 Spirit Of Speyside Whisky Festival celebrates the global impact of single malt whisky in the region, with the annual event taking place at the Craigellachie Distillery. The festival, which began in 1999 as a local nonprofit, includes over 700 events and welcomes whisky enthusiasts from nearly 40 countries. Among the highlights of the event is the reveal of the Spirit of Speysid Whisky Awards, which selects eight top expressions from four categories including whiskies 12 years and under, 13-17 years in age, 18 years and up, and non-age-stated. The winner was introduced as Tamdhu 21 Year Old, a premium whisky made by the 129-year-old distillery.
