The first day of free agency for the NFL is officially over, but the legal negotiation period, which began on Monday, has already seen significant progress in player development. The Panthers signed Jaelan Phillips to a four-year, $120 million deal with $80 million guaranteed, making him the eight-highest-paid edge rusher in football. Other notable moves included Boye Mafe joining the Bengals on a three-year $60 million deal, $4 million more annually than our projection.
