Leawood family honors 10-year-old son killed in scooter accident with basketball tournament

A family in Leawood, Kansas, honored 10-year-old Duke Ommert who died in a scooter accident with a basketball tournament. The Do Like Duke Foundation was established to carry forward his legacy, focusing on sports, anti-bullying, inclusion, kindness, leadership and mentorship. The event was the first fundraiser for the foundation, with proceeds split between the foundation and ShareWaves. The youth 3-on-3 basketball tournament was held at Homefield in Kansas City, Kan.
