NYPD’s Tisch, Councilman Feliz spar over crimefighting results in Bronx

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch has taken exception to a claim by a city councilman, Oswald Feliz (D-Bronx), that the police are not doing enough in the neighborhoods most at risk. Tisch stated that underserved communities are leading crime reductions in the city. Feliz also commended the NYPD for its efforts in arresting the Gracie Mansion terror suspects and maintaining a steady decline in gun violence. Tish also expressed interest in keeping the Strategic Response Group (SRG), which often responds to protests, and expressed confidence in her officers' performance.
