The Malaga Festival has awarded its top prizes to films from Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. Joaquín del Paso's "The Garden We Dreamed" won best picture, direction, cinematography, and cinematography. Other winners included Spain's "I Won’t Die For Love" for best Spanish film, "Ivan & Hadoum," and Chile's "the Red Hangar". The festival's success highlighted the strength and vitality of Spanish-language cinema, with director Juan Antonio Vigar stating that the 29th edition of the Málaga Festival confirmed the power of Spanish cinema.
