Manganese Levels In Marengo Drinking Water Back Within Acceptable Limits: Officials

The city of Norwich, Illinois, has reported that its drinking water is safe and well-regulated, following additional testing following an elevated manganese level detected in a sample from Well #6. The city had to notify users of its water system after the initial incident, which required a public announcement. Additional testing also found to be conducted in early 2026.
