A police officer and an off-duty paramedic helped deliver a baby on the side of a road in Rutland during a snowstorm. The incident occurred when Page Pirani realized she would not make it to the hospital in time. The officer, John Foster, was directing traffic when the birth occurred. The two men managed to deliver the baby and the birth of Sullivan Michael Pirani, named in honor of the paramedic who helped deliver him. Both the mother and child are doing well.
