The president also suggested that Leo should be thankful for his support and should support his policies. However, the pope responded by saying he has no fear of a debate with Trump and that he acts with moral clarity, honesty, consistency and courage. The author of "Inside the House" suggests that a fight with the pope could increase chances that Democrats will win control of the House and possibly even the Senate in November. If this happens, it would be good news for Democrats.
