Brooks returns to big leagues after winding journey through Korea, Mexico

The Tampa Bay Rays have re-signed right-hander Aaron Brooks from Triple-A Durham and has removed right-hand Mason Englert from the team. This move comes before the game against the Red Sox was postponed due to inclement weather. To make up the roster, outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy was designated for assignment. Brooks, who has played professional baseball for 16 years, last played in the Majors in 2024, made five appearances with the A's. He also had brief stints with the Orioles, Royals, and Cardinals.
