A Chicago police officer has been killed and another officer is critically injured following a shooting at Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital. The suspect, who was in custody of law enforcement when the incident occurred, was initially checked for weapons upon arrival and escorted by law enforcement at all times. However, he managed to get hold of a gun and opened fire on the officers. No patients or staff were injured in the incident. The shooter is currently being held in custody.
