Ukraine has deployed military units to five Gulf states to protect civilians and infrastructure from potential Iranian drone attacks amid the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran. The deployment is part of Ukraine's strategy to strengthen ties with the U., and implement its military innovations amid ongoing peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan have also been visited by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary, Rustem Umerov. This follows comments by President Donald Trump that he does not need Ukraine's help in drone defense, citing that Russia's President Vladimir Putin is easier to deal with than any other American ally.
