Steven Dodson Jr., a 21-year-old man from Jacksonville, was denied bond after being arrested and charged in the shooting death of a 2-year old boy. The shooting occurred during a domestic dispute at an apartment complex during which a gun went off during a heated argument. Dodson fled the scene and was arrested less than 24 hours later, leading to a manhunt that led to his arrest. The judge noted Dodson's absence from the bond hearing and noted that he has had prior arrests for charges including strong-arm robbery, domestic battery, and other offenses.
