Carley Fortune’s Bestseller 'This Summer Will Be Different' Is Getting a TV Adaptation

Carley Fortune's 2024 romance novel, "This Summer Will Be Different," is set to be adapted into a 10-episode series for Netflix Canada. The series will follow the story of Lucy, a tourist on Prince Edward Island who meets Felix, a local who quickly steals her heart. The cast has not yet been announced, but the series will be shot on PrinceEdward Island, a location close to Fortune's heart. This isn't the first time Fortune has produced a TV adaptation, with her debut novel "Every Summer After," "Every Year After," also set to air in 2022.
