Former BYU football player Parker Kingston is facing a felony rape charge in a St. George court. The charges were brought after a 20-year-old victim reported sexual assault to police. Kingston, who claimed the sexual activity was consensual, was removed from the BYU football team and academic programs following his arrest on February 11. Following a detention hearing, state prosecutors agreed to release Kingston on $100,000 bail.
