After the Boston Marathon, Greater Boston Track Club runners meet at Clery's basement after the race. The club has been meeting up since 1973, with members stating it has been for at least 16 years. The post-marathon celebration is usually held at Clry's basement. The members of the running club enjoy drinking and eating with their friends after running. Some runners simply enjoy the social aspect of the event, while others prefer a beer and protein bars.
