CBS has announced that it is canceling both Watson and DMV, after only two seasons and one season respectively. The network is focusing on shows like Marshals and George & Mandy’s First Marriage as it recommends to shows such as Marshals. Watson, starring Morris Chestnut as the protagonist of the Sherlock Holmes novels, was produced by CBS Studios and renewed for a second season in 2025. DMV, starring Harriet Dyer, Tim Meadows and Tony Cavalero, landed a series order in April 2025 and a full-season pickup later that year. The cancellation comes as CBS announces several renewals for its 2026-2027 season.
