Heavy rain triggers landslide, power outages and flood warnings across Portland area

Heavy rain across the Portland metro area caused several incidents, including a mudslide, a downed power line, and flooding concerns near Johnson Creek. The Indian Hills Apartment Complex in Southwest Portland’s Markham neighborhood was evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported and the Portland Emergency Management Department is working on the cleanup. The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Johnson Creek area in Southeast Portland. The city of Portland has two free sandbag fill-up locations.
