Aaron Tracey hosted a 10-part podcast about Roald Dahl, a children’s book author known for his controversial work and life, The Secret World of Roald. The podcast, which focuses on Dahl's controversial past and present, includes a biography of him as a fighter pilot for England, a spy in Washington, D.C., a Hollywood screenwriter, inventor of medical technology, and a husband and eventual caregiver to a Hollywood starlet. Dahl is also remembered for his bigotry, including his anti-fatphobic and misogynist comments, and his virulent antisemitism. Despite these controversies, Dahl is still popular in live-action Wes Anderson films and animated features. Tracey's project, which includes both a ten-part nonfiction narrative and 10 episodes of a podcast about Dahl's life and work, aims to provide context for his work and educate his children about who he was.
