Rick Pitino, the 73-year-old Hall of Fame coach, has brought a record sixth school to the NCAA Tournament, taking Boston University to the tournament in 1983. He is also the only coach to win the title at two different schools. Pitino's 913 Division I victories rank fifth all-time in NCAA history, behind only Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Boeheim, Bob Huggins, and Jim Calhoun. St. John’s is currently playing against Northern Iowa, which ranks 363rd out of 365 teams in the league. Despite his success, St.John's relies heavily on defense for success, ranking 12th on D.9 per game.
