The Lexington Farmers Market, the largest in Kentucky, is known for its wide-ranging range of fresh produce, meats, and baked goods, with tomatoes being one of the most prolific items. The market is open year-round and hosts over 80 vendors representing 30 different Kentucky counties. The Saturday market, located on Main Street, draws a younger crowd and more single people compared to the Sunday market on Southland Drive. Local artists and craftsmen are invited to participate in the Artists and Makers Market, created in conjunction with LFM in 2018, and musicians have also been invited to perform during the weekend markets. Additionally, the market hosts a festival called the Cold Brew Coffee Festival when weekend sales declined due to back to school season.
