LA County supervisor thanks Trump for meeting on wildfire recovery, says other states ‘in line’ asking for FEMA help

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger (R) has thanked President Trump for meeting with her and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass about wildfire recovery efforts, but noted that other states are also waiting for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Barger stated that she spoke with lawmakers on Capitol Hill about other natural disasters that impacted states such as North Carolina, Florida, and Texas. She also noted that there was "heavy lifting" to do and that Trump recognized issues with fire rebuilding permits. Barger did not specify how soon FEMA funding would go toward wildfire recovery.
