Stars arrive for Met Gala as protesters target Jeff Bezos

The annual Met Gala, an annual fundraising gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, has attracted celebrities including Nicole Kidman, Lauren Sanchez, and Anna Wintour. The event, which is also known for its high-profile guests, was disrupted by protesters outside the museum who held anti-taxpayer banners outside. Celebrities such as Rihanna, Beyonce, Venus Williams and Kim Kardashian are expected to attend. This year's theme was "Fashion is Art", which invited guests to "treat the body as a canvas". The event's main sponsors are Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez.
