Police were called to a disturbance at a home in Cranston, Rhode Island, where Duncan Powell, a senior member of the Providence College men's basketball team, was arrested on suspicion of domestic disorderly conduct. Powell had previously transferred from Georgia Tech to the college for the 2025-26 season and was suspended for three games by the Big East last month after a hard foul by St. John's guard sparked a dispute. The university fired coach Kim English and replaced him with South Florida's Bryan Hodgson.
